Hildigrim I : ウィキペディア英語版
Hildegrim of Châlons
Hildegrim〔Hildegrin, Hildigrin, Hildegrimus, Hildigrimus.〕 (c. 750 – 827) was a Benedictine, bishop of Châlons-sur-Marne from 804, and brother of Saint Ludger. He is also traditionally given as the first bishop of Halberstadt, a position now discounted by scholars;〔Schaff, Philip. ''The New Schaff-Herzog Encyclopedia of Religious Knowledge'' . (page 119 ), (page 505 ).〕 he is known to have been active in spreading Christianity into the region of the diocese, as a mission among the Saxons. He followed his brother as abbot at Werden and Helmstedt in 809.〔(Imperial Bishops: H-P )〕 Hildegrim is buried at the crypt of the Werden abbey church.
He is a Catholic and Orthodox〔(Latin Saints of the Orthodox Patriarchate of Rome )〕 saint, remembered on July 19.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 work=Saint of the Day )
